My good homie @djrastaroot laced me with a Fresh Pair of his chromed-out Smokin Shells Needle Heads. I started rockin' with them last October '10, just as Roots & I were ready to set sail around the Caribbean for a month as Scratch Academy Celebrity Guest DJs on the NCL Epic Ship. Whoops! Almost 2 years has passed and I just realized me and the bro DJ FLO were featured in the freshest sneaker-head blog of them all HighsNobiety.com. Tim Brodhagen, a Highs Nobiety Blogger, caught up with us at the Redman & Method Man - Blackout 2 Album Release Party at the Adidas Originals Store in Soho. FLO & I had just returned from spinning out in Rio De Janeiro, BR and we were amped off of South America. Check Out what he had to say! FLO & JONESY! - Highs Nobiety.
This was a great event. DJ Envy was spinning cuts off the Blackout Album, Redman looked like he just blazed a 50 sack, Raekwon = OG, and Method Man was all business (look how lightning quick he hopped in my photo, lol!)
Emergency Service, a nyc based Rock/Funk/Reggae band, held their Music Video Release Party for single "Feel Your Love" at Robert De Niro's Tribeca Cinemas (home of the Tribeca Film Festival). There was a great turnout for the night, and DJ FLO and myself were shredding records on the balcony that overlooked the dance floor.
